How Giving Is Saving Lives And Allowing Transformation To Occur Through Our 20/20 Vision Initiative:
Praise JESUS !!!
As we come to the beginning of the 3rd year of the initial 3 years of this great capital campaign
I think of the parable where JESUS teaches one of the mysterious, spiritual truths of
HIS Kingdom: “If you are faithful in little, you will be faithful in much.” This parable may be
found in Luke 19:11-27 and it’s the last written teaching before the Triumphal Entry, which
traditionally commences Holy Week for the Church. It begins with a nobleman leaving money
with his servants to work with and multiply. It ends with JESUS making a statement about
WHO HE is as KING and how we are to respond as HIS loyal subjects. Now this is tough talk
and a big pill to swallow. JESUS is blatantly direct. HOLY SPIRIT, please enlarge us that we
may take hold of the great opportunity before us, to continue to mature as GOD’s family and
to serve more deeply as loyal subjects in the area of the Kingdom, known as Altoona. Amen.
I will always repeat and emphasize what a great and special a church you are! I’ve yet to see
a church do what you do! You give 20% of your capital campaign to other ministries and services.
Please take a look at the amounts and prayerfully give thanks to GOD for the opportunity
to sow into the lives of those who serve and those who were served. 20/20 is a great vision
that you’ve embraced and lived into. I can’t wait to “see” our next 20/20 vision being cast
and then lived out. May all this be accomplished for GOD’s magnificent glory and our greater
benefit, hallelujah!
