The ROCK

The ROCK (Reaching Out for Christ's Kids) is an after school program held at the church on Wednesdays from 4:30PM to 7:00PM. The ROCK has been in existence for 10 years and has grown into its own non-profit organization.

While the program is connected to the church, it operates with its own director, volunteers, and budget. This program is open free of charge to kids of the community. Any child in K-12th grade is welcome to come. A typical evening includes recreation time, a time of learning, a fresh, hot meal, fellowship with friends, crafts, and a closing time with the church praise team. The program has grown from about 20 kids an evening to an average now of 60 children an evening.

All volunteers are encouraged to develop relationships with the children to support and encourage them. Volunteers also have appropriate clearance records and background checks.

This program has made a positive impact on the lives of our kids and our community. We continue to explore new opportunities for tutoring, mentorships, and relationship building!
